Forward Deployed Engineer
Full-timeTC starting at 55kDesign and deliver customer solutions for robotic arm automation in logistics and manufacturing. Work hands-on with real robots, customers, sales, and account managers to turn complex automation needs into deployed systems using Cyberwave infrastructure.
Cyberwave is building the infrastructure layer for intelligent machines - making robotics as accessible, scalable, and programmable as cloud software. Our platform helps customers deploy, operate, and scale robotic systems across real industrial environments.
We're looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with customers on robotic arm automation projects in logistics and manufacturing. This is a hands-on, customer-facing engineering role: you'll understand the customer's process, design the technical solution, integrate robotic arms and peripherals, and use Cyberwave infrastructure to make the deployment reliable and repeatable.
You'll collaborate closely with sales and account managers during discovery, pilots, and production rollouts. You'll also work with engineering and product to turn field learnings into platform improvements. We want someone who has shipped real projects with real customers - especially involving arms from vendors such as KUKA, ABB, Kinova, Universal Robots, FANUC, or similar platforms.
This is a mid-to-senior role based in Milan, with travel to customer sites as needed.

Responsibilities
- Work with sales and account managers to scope customer automation opportunities and define technically credible solutions
- Lead discovery sessions, site visits, demos, pilots, and deployment planning for robotic arm automation projects
- Design, prototype, and deploy customer solutions using Cyberwave infrastructure and third-party robotics hardware
- Integrate robotic arms with end effectors, cameras, sensors, PLCs, conveyors, fixtures, and customer systems
- Own technical success for pilots and early deployments, from requirements gathering through on-site debugging and handoff
- Document solution architectures, deployment playbooks, and repeatable patterns for future customers
- Bring field feedback to product and engineering so Cyberwave becomes easier to deploy in real industrial environments
